Shockacon Part 2 (The Mask)

So now that I knew I was going to the Con, I had to figure out what costume to wear. I wanted something that no one else would do. I've always wanted to cos-play and create costume so this was my chance to show what I got. Keep in mind I never worked with special effects makeup. I'm a huge fan of face off and Tom Savini so I wanted to do a costume where I got to play around with.

So I chose to do Greta the girl gremlin from Gremlins 2:The New Batch. Here's the photo I used for reference:

Now I had the character I wanted to portray, I had to figure out how to make the costume. I was so stressed when it came to making this costume. But I went to the Magic Makers store we have in town for inspiration. Magic Makers is a costume, makeup, and dance supply store. When there I found a witch prosthetics that was the perfect base for the gremlin face. All I had to do was add horns and cut off the nose and warts.
Material Used:
Paint Brushes
Crayola Model Magic(White)
Ben Nyes  Liqiuid Latex
Ben Nyes Latex adhesive
Witches Prosthetics
Here I've cut the nose and warts off and applied rubber latex over the holes. Then using Crayola Magic Model clay I constructed six horns for each cheek bone.
After over lapping the cheek horns with liquid latex I constructed and applied the eyebrow horns. I added more clay to make the browns stick out higher.

                     Here's  the finished product.

Once I let it set for a day I then had to paint it.

                                 Materials:
                             Model car paint
                                 Paint Brush
            Makeup provided with Witch Prosthetic
